PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men’s crew team ends their season with the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J., from Friday, June 3 to Sunday, June 5.
The Owls will attempt to replicate their success from last season, which saw them place three eights in the top-15 nationally for the first time in school history. The varsity eight, second varsity eight, and varsity lightweight eight boats finished 10th, 14th, and 15th, respectively.
Temple kicks off the event when the varsity eight boats hits the water in lane seven at 8:30am on Friday. Up next, the second varsity eight sits in lane two with racing starting at 9:30am. Lastly, the third varsity eight boat takes their spot in lane seven of final heat at 10:20am.
Later in the day, repechages begin at 1:50pm with semifinal racing starting at 3:30pm. On Saturday, semifinals continue throughout the day before the grand finals on Sunday.
